Quite a bit has happened since my last blog update, including the Winter Olympics, trade wars, and the invention of the clip-on tuner.
In a nutshell: it’s been a great year for us so far, which included a tour of Ireland, some hit releases, including our fusion of two related versions of Dark Hollow, which we called—you guessed it—“Dark Hollow.” Since then, we’ve released a brand new single called “Bend in the Road,” which is another co-write between me and Jon Weisberger. The video is on our home page, shot in an Asheville, NC alley (we feel very at home in alleys). Feel free to call—but never harass—your favorite DJ, and we invite you to stream it on Spotify, or the streaming service of your choice. If you use Spotify, we’d love to have you follow our artist page right here:

We appreciate IBMA voters carrying us into the second round of voting in a number of categories. Gina’s album “True Colors” was released during the eligibility period and we’re proud to see it well-represented as well. If you see this before June 27th, here are the categories:
- Entertainer of the Year
- Instrumental Group of the Year
- Male Vocalist of the Year
- Female Vocalist of the Year (Gina)
- Emerging Artist (Gina)
- Album of the Year (True Colors)
- Instrumental recording: “Saylor’s Creek”
- Banjo Player of the Year (Gina)
- Bass Player of the Year (Jon)
Enjoy the summer! Check our tour dates, and maybe we’ll see you down the road somewhere.
